After a roadtrip around the United States tackling as many tiki establishments and motels with good looking signs as possible, Suzanne is thrilled to be back home in California, and behind the stick at Forbidden Island. With her innovative spin on mixology and her penchant for pairing drinking with games, Suzanne created and continues to run the Black Orchid Club, a multi-level card and location based game which features custom created new cocktails weekly, custom cocktail syrups, collectible cards, riddles, and prizes for clever imbibers. She is also the force behind Black Orchid Sessions, a unique cocktail experience available nowhere else in the world - custom libations created on the spot at your request, using all premium spirits and fresh juices. Suzanne has presented at CocktailCamp in Portland Oregon, Tiki Oasis in San Diego, CA, and at the Beverage Academy at Bourbon and Branch in San Francisco, and has adjudicated the Dole Cocktail Contest at Ohana, Luau at the Lake. Suzanne and her cocktails have been mentioned in the Oregonian, the San Francisco Chronicle, the San Francisco Bay Guardian, Alameda Magazine, the East Bay Express, The Island, Imbibe Magazine online, and Mutineer Magazine, and many others. Suzanne is a member in good standing of the United States Bartenders Guild and the Fraternal Order of Moai.
